Dr. Raghbir Singh Basi

Village Life Improvement Foundation was started in 2002 by our founding Chairman, now Patron, Dr. Raghbir Singh Basi in conjunction with Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) abroad and residents of India to initiate integrated sustainable development of village communities.
Dr. Raghbir Singh Basi is a former Provost and Emeritus Glenn and Eva Old Professor of International Understanding, Alaska Pacific University, Anchorage, Alaska. He served in 1963 as Consultant to the Planning Commission of India. From 1967 to 1970 he was the Senior Economic Advisor to the Government of Saudi Arabia. He also served as MD of the Anchorage World Trade Centre and as President of the Board of Directors of Chugach Electric Corporation. Dr. Basi has authored books on economics and management. He was educated at Punjab University, India, University of British Columbia, Canada, and Harvard and Cornell Universities, USA

Col SS Bajwa retired from the Army. He is a graduate in Electric Engineering and has done long course in the Army which is recognized as MTech. in Missile Tech. He joined VLIF on 17 February 2009.
